Gilbert Flynn

Gilbert has more than 30 years' experience in commercial law and litigation. He commenced practice in Perth with Bennett & Co., then joined Mallesons Stephen Jaques (now King & Wood Mallesons), where he practised in both Perth and Sydney for nine years, before spending several years as Special Counsel (IT) at Blake Dawson Waldron (now Ashurst).

Gilbert joined Hotchkin Hanly in 2003 and became a partner from 1 January 2004. Although he has considerable experience in litigation (including banking and finance, trade practices, corporations, administrative actions, insolvency/bankruptcy, and defamation), Gilbert now primarily conducts a commercial practice specialising in IT and IP matters, and general business transaction-based commercial documentation and negotiations.
